CIVILIAN PERSONNEL FLIGHT OSAN AIR BASE

POSITION TITLE AND GRADE: Office Automation Clerk, KGS-0326-04
SALARY: Between 16345-23354 Won per hour (Total hourly compensation when bonuses are included)
DUTY LOCATION: 51st Force Support Squadron/Community Services Flight, Osan Club Complex.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All current employees assigned with United States Air Force, Korea (USAFK)
(Priority Group 5)
MAJOR DUTIES: Performs a variety of work dealing with administrative controls to ensure that all suspense files are maintained. Responsible for ensuring Korean local nationals and U.S. employees time and attendance sheets are accurate. Ensures that employee folders are maintained for all employees. Provides administrative and clerical support for the Mustang Center Manager and ancillary support to the Enlisted Club Complex Manager. Maintains operating procedures for distributing incoming communications, including correspondence, messaging and publications. Is familiar with time management software requirements for an activity that consists of five cost centers and employee 35 employees. Organizes calendars and ensures special events are coordinated with management. Prepares, receives, and processes invoices for contracts doing business with the Mustang Center. Inputs data into the personal computer for employees monthly work schedules. Submits monthly marketing requests. Receives bakery orders from other NAF facilities and customers. Submits base pass requests for employees and contractors. Performs monthly TBCCs for labor and M3 Events. Types 332’s for facility maintenance requests. May act as an interpreter if required. Attends staff meetings and makes notes for dissemination. Completes written and/or verbal translations from English to Korean and vice versa, of information, documents and conversations. Makes reservations for facility use. Answers telephone or personal questions and provides information concerning club administration and/or functions. Requires a good knowledge of correspondence practices and procedures. Performs other related duties as assignment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE: One year of general experience.
A minimum typing speed of 30 words (English/150 strokes) per minute is required. ROK Word Processing Certificates for English may be substituted for the self- certification of keyboard operation skills.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible work which indicates ability to acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Successfully completed education of two years above the high school level in a ROKG authorized or recognized college, university may be substituted for the experience required at grade KGS-4.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY: 1. The American Language Course Placement Test (ALCPT) score of 60 or above and successfully passing the English Comprehension Interview (ECI) is required.
2. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 430 or higher the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) score of 450 or higher may be substituted for ALCPT requirement. Applicant must submit the TOEFL/TOEIC official copies of test score. TOEFL and TOEIC scores are valid for two years from the exam date.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY (KSA’s): To be rated best qualified applicants must have demonstrated possession of the following KSA’s essential to the performance of the duties of the positions:
a. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents.
b. Knowledge of rules, procedures, or operations applied to clerical assignment to perform the routine, procedural work of the office
c. Knowledge of filing systems and procedures and the subject matter content of the materials being processed
d. Ability communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
